Earlier this year, One Two One Accounts was delighted to welcome our newest Assistant Accountant onto the team, Gemma Forbes.
Since she can remember, Gemma has always wanted to become an accountant. After having a family, she decided to take the leap and enrol in the Open University to study a BSc Hons in Business Management Accounting.
Before joining the One Two One team, she worked as a Finance and Monitoring Officer on the transport team in a busy Newcastle Upon Tyne hospital. She assisted in the development of their financial management and coordinating their finance systems and processes.
At One Two One, Gemma provides a variety of important services for our clients. Her responsibilities include client bookkeeping, annual accounts for sole traders and assistance with the preparation and submission of VAT forms.
When asked about her new role, Gemma said, “Becoming part of the One Two One team has been a truly enjoyable experience. I love using what I learned in my studies in a practical setting, offering a personalised accountancy service and meeting the individual needs of each client. There is a calm ambience in the office, and we have a great work-life balance.”
When Gemma’s not in the office, she prioritises spending quality time with her family and making memories.
